Semenná síla však neúnavně působí dál; prozařuje kořen strmící do hloubky, stejně tak kolmo vyhlušující stonek a listové žilky listů strmících do stran v podobě; nakonec se v podobě a květu obrazem zjevuje bytost, která duchovně jako forma žila v semeni. Skryta v květu, zbrzdí výhonek do semeníku, který — polárně k vyzařující blíži — se uzavírá jako obal semenných základů. Zde, v semenném základu, se semenná síla sjednocuje s «korunou» Všeobecně-rostlinného, s pylem. V odumírání rostliny dozrává dvojitý zárodek v semeno. Man kann es gegenüber dem Individualsamen das Allgemein-Pflanzliche nennen. Sie wächst, ihre Gestalt ausbildend, von Same zu Same. Im neu sich bildenden Samen aber prägt sich das Kosmische, «das als Form der Pflanze im Samen lebt»,<ref>Rudolf Steiner: ''Geisteswissenschaftliche Grundlagen zum Gedeihen der Landwirtschaft'', GA 327, Vortrag vom 10. Juni 1924, Dornach 1999, S. 53.</ref> jedes Mal neu ab. Im Auskeimen erstirbt der Same, der Keimling entfaltet sich und ist jetzt stark der Wirksamkeit irdischer Kräfte unterworfen. Die Samenkraft aber wirkt unablässig weiter; sie durchstrahlt die in die Tiefe strebende Wurzel, ebenso den senkrecht emporschießenden Stängel und die Blattrippen der seitlich in die Form strebenden Blätter; sie offenbart schließlich in Gestalt und Blüte im Bilde das Wesen, das geistig als Form im Samen gelebt hat. Verborgen in der Blüte staut sich der Spross zum Fruchtknoten, der, polar zur aufstrahlenden Blüte, sich zur Hülle der Samenanlagen abschließt. In the act of germinating the seed dies into form; the seedling unfolds and is now powerfully subject to the working of earthly forces. The seed-force, however, works on without ceasing; it streams through the root that strives downward into the depths, equally through the upward-shooting stem and through the leaf-veins of the leaves striving laterally into form; it reveals itself finally, in gestalt and blossom, as an image of the being that has lived spiritually as form within the seed. Hidden within the blossom, the shoot dams itself up into the ovary which, polar to the radiant blossom, closes off as the sheath of the seed-primordia. Here, in the seed-primordium, the seed-force unites itself with the «crown» of the universal-plant — the pollen. In the dying of the plant the twofold germ-disposition ripens into seed.
