The human being has his origin in the spirit-cosmos: he develops his consciousness in the encounter with the physical-sensory world. In this world of time and space, however, there work forces that likewise stem from the spirit-cosmos and have their specific sources each in the twelve regions of the zodiac. From these twelve regions there ray in, mediated through the Sun, the impulses that assist humanity toward ever new stages of becoming conscious of human and world existence. These impulses it is that, through the creative work of human beings, give a cultural epoch its particular character.
